Skylar Brondnan, one of our PhD students had a busy conference season, representing Adapt Lab at two meetings this year!
At SSPP 2026, she gave a talk sharing her findings on how Rhesus Macaques are more distracted by faces than control images when a task is easy, but not when it is more demanding. Together, this works helps shed light on how social information competes for attention depending on how high/low the cognitive load is. At ASP 2026, she also presented her poster, which focused on “Attention to face distractors in Rhesus Macaques and Tufted Capuchins”, examining how images of faces pull attention away from an ongoing task in two primate species. way to go Skylar!
